Advancing Healthcare Through Innovative Technologies and Devices

MEDEC is a proud member of global medical technology associations on behalf of our members. This participation ensures that we are active participants in advocating on global issues on behalf of our members. These associations include:

Global Medical Technology Alliance (GMTA) - The GMTA is comprised of leading medical technology associations from around the world that represent companies producing the medical devices, diagnostic products and health information systems that are transforming healthcare through earlier disease detection, less invasive procedures and more effective treatments.

DITTA - DITTA is the only global association that represents medical imaging, radiation therapy, healthcare IT, electromedical and radiopharmaceutical manufacturers. DITTA's focus is "to improve the global regulatory environment for manufacturers to ensure that they remain at the forefront of technological innovation and are successful in the global marketplace as they continue to develop more advanced, life-saving products that improve quality, saftey and patient access around the globe while also promoting cost efficiency".

Both the GMTA and Ditta have been granted official relations status with the World Health Organization (WHO). This recognition permits both organizations to formally engage WHO on important issues related to our industry.
