By 2050 Antimicrobial Resistance will kill more people than cancer. (Review on Antimicrobial Resistance, December 2014)
"We have reached a critical point and must act now on a global scale to slow down antimicrobial resistance” – Professor Dame Sally Davies, UK Chief Medical Officer

The need is stronger than ever to provide opportunities for people to share information and experiences related to infection control and prevention. Good research is being done in the IPAC field, but the key to real change is communicating the results of that research, working through any challenges and implementing solutions effectively together.
In April 2017, InfectionControl.tips and Knowlex will be hosting a global conference for healthcare providers, scientists, politicians, business leaders and clinicians, focusing on infection prevention and control. This two-day event will bring together some of the greatest innovators, researchers and practitioners to share and discuss the latest advances and best practices in tackling the imminent threat posed by infectious diseases.
For the first global conference, we chose Hamilton because it is the home base for InfectionControl.tips and is also perfectly situated to be accessible to the Health Networks within Toronto, London, Niagara Falls and Buffalo. This conference will become an annual event that will draw local, national and international interest. As Hamilton continues to redefine itself as a leading city for healthcare innovation, we will introduce a global audience to our hometown. Reciprocal target benefits will include local investment, employment and outreach programming.
