You may be lobbying and don’t even know it. The B.C. government has made significant changes to the Lobbyists Registration Act, which come into force April 1, 2010. The changes expand the definition of lobbying, strengthen registration and reporting requirements, enhance public access to the registry and empower the registrar to investigate non-compliance, as well as issue penalties up to $25,000.
